Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a privately held, Calgary-based engineering firm that has supported Western Canada’s energy industry and international clients since 1987.
With a renowned team of engineers, designers, and specialists, GLE has built a reputation as one of the most experienced and trusted firms in natural gas, liquids, and general energy-projects. Our technical-design expertise covers all aspects of gas and liquids processing, compression, amine sweetening, refrigeration, shallow-cut and deep-cut NGL recovery, fractionation, terminals, wellsites, pipelines, and gathering-system design. Our power systems experience ranges from small simple cycle power plants, to large combined cycle utilities and associated HV substations.
GLE is also recognized globally for its experience in acid-gas injection and CO₂ sequestration, having contributed to many of the largest CO₂ projects in North America and maintaining the most extensive portfolio of acid-gas injection pipelines and facilities worldwide. This capability complements our broader portfolio in power generation, utilities, renewables integration, and general industrial projects, allowing us to apply advanced process expertise across the full energy spectrum.

Founded by Doug MacKenzie, Jim Maddocks, and Arnie Toews, GLE was built on a foundation of technical excellence and practical field experience.
