Carbon Capture, Utilization & Sequestration Projects

Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a recognized global leader in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), specializing in CO₂ compression, transport, processing, and sequestration systems. With deep roots in amine processing and acid-gas handling, GLE has become a trusted partner on some of the world’s most ambitious CCUS developments—including the complete facility engineering operating on the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL). Backed by more than three decades of experience, GLE has delivered over 150 AGI and CCUS projects, including more than 40 full-scope designs carried from concept through commissioning and operation.

CCUS and CO₂ systems are among the most technically demanding and safety-critical energy facilities in operation. CO₂ streams operate at high pressures, can form corrosive acids, solidify under transient conditions, and exhibit complex thermodynamic behavior requiring specialized process, mechanical, and materials expertise. As a heavier-than-air gas, CO₂ requires advanced dispersion modeling to ensure safe commissioning, blowdown, and emergency planning.

GLE is actively working on numerous carbon capture facilities in Canada and the United States, as well as major CO₂ pipelines.
